The German sense of humor is absolutely real but it is mostly deployed when you are panicking about paperwork
Before moving to Munich two years ago for my PhD everyone warned me about the legendary lack of German humor. They said dealing with the bureaucracy would be a soul crushing experience of rigid rules and unsmiling clerks. And while the rules are definitely rigid I have slowly realized that the German sense of humor absolutely exists. It is just incredibly dry, entirely deadpan, and usually deployed when you are actively panicking about paperwork. I had to visit the KVR recently for my residence

Developer attacked over (learning from) AI - where to draw the line?
Clarification: Generative AI was not used to create the game (far as I'm aware) I think it's an overreaction. Whenever a certain segment of people hear "AI" at all their brains turn off and they go into attack mode. I've seen this elsewhere it is becoming an issue.
German Police Photographing People
Hello, I’m a tourist. Arrived in Nürnberg yesterday and went walking about in the old town. Came across police cordon outside the church. Found out there was a rally by what was described to me as fascists/non-nazis. The police though were taking photos of people standing outside the rally boundary. Is this normal in Germany? For such rallies and police taking photos of people? what do they do with these photos?

So I am New to all of this around 6 Months ago I started trading on my Banking app I set 50€ aside and just read a lot of post her and bought Option papers and Factor - Optionsscheine. I went from 50€ to around 500€ only selling and re-investing. Around 4 weeks ago I wanted to buy calls on Gold 3x nothing wild... but I bought Calls on Goldman Sachs 😃 Happy little accident Gold went down and Sachs went up. Now I really know that I do not know what I am doing. May the same luck that blessed me
